Inventor of the
2-in-1 freezer cylinder technology
At the end of the ’80s, our founder, Jim van den Bosch, came into contact with the NISSEI Company in Japan. They developed top-quality soft serve machines that reflected three core values: minimum maintenance, a long service life and the very best quality. After being inspired by this vision, Jim decided to bring these machines to the Netherlands.
In his own garden shed, Jim explored how to make these Japanese soft serve machines suitable for the Dutch market. This was followed by an intensive period of developments and challenges, but it all paid off. In 1990, the Dutch arm of NISSEI launched a true technological miracle: the first Giant Combi.
The innovative Giant Combi is the very first machine to use the 2-in-1 freezing cylinder technology. This technology makes it possible to make soft serve and milkshakes with just one cylinder. And with the highest and most stable overrun. This was a unique breakthrough in the European market.

Since the Giant Combi was introduced in 1990, NISSEI has helped thousands of businesses to achieve the best yields possible with their soft serve.
